Little Lizard King’s new pattern is a beautiful and classic pinafore and bloomer set in sizes newborn to 4. With both top length and pinafore length. The pattern includes ruffle bloomers, that are the perfect solution “for modesty in twirling”
The bodice has a sweet little arched front with straps that crisscross and button on the sides of the bodice. This open back options has the sweetest ties for a bow. the pattern can also be made with a closed back and buttons.
For our pinafore I wanted something simple and monotone, so I used a cream lace curtain that I had found at a local thrift store, for $2 and some white cotton lining. I didn’t want to take away from the pretty lace, so I opted for the simplest version, no bodice ruffle, no hem ruffle, just clean and simple.
My favorite part of testing this pattern was seeing how it looked over a dress and then the light bulb moment hit! I knew needed a dress out of my grandmother’s vintage sheet!! I used Little Lizard King’s Hazel Pattern and the flutter sleeves from the free Arendelle heart back add on. This dress is my new favorite for my little girl (partly because it’s pretty and partly for the sentimental reasons)
It’s in spring in Texas and that means the bluebonnets are out, and this dress was perfect for bluebonnet pictures!
I hope you add the Charleston Pinafore and Bloomers Pattern to your collection. It has such a innocent feel to it and is truly sweet and simply pattern.
